Who can say that they are better than the SAHÂBAH when the Prophet said: "The best of my nation is my generation then those who follow them and then those who follow them." (Saheeh Bukhaaree)

Aboo Haazim Sallaam ibn Sulaym, may Allaah have mercy on him used to expel those individuals who used to revile the Companions of the Prophet, , from his majlis while saying: "Don't revile the Companions of the Messenger of Allaah for indeed they accepted Islaam due to the Khashyah (Fear) of Allaah and (you people) embraced Islaam because of your fear of their swords (i.e. due to their conquest)!"

And for all those Shi'ites and deviants who curse any of the Sahâbah this applys to you.....  The Prophet  said: "Whoever abuses my Companions, upon them is the curse of Allah, the Angles and all the people" (Saheeh, At-Tabaranee) 

And Aash-Shafi'ee said (concerning the SAHÂBAH): "I have allegiance for them and I seek Allaah's forgiveness for them, and for all the people of Camel and Siffeen, those who killed and those who were killed, and all the companions of the Prophet entirety" [AAMEEN]
